Mediation aims to retrieve a situation or relationship rather than proceeding to litigation. It implies a will on both sides to find a solution which is productive and economical for all involved parties.
Mediation works very well in business contexts, both in-house and between clients and suppliers. It aims to repair communication processes that have broken down, and rebuild the trust required to work together once more resulting in a win-win solution (compared to the legal way of one wins one looses).
Mediation is a confidential process usually resulting in a written agreement that is voluntary and not legally binding.
